UKBackorder is a platform for acquiring expiring UK domains through backorders and for selling UK domains through auctions. A backorder is placed for a domain; the system determines when it becomes available and attempts to register it at that moment. If a domain is caught and only one backorder existed, it is allocated at a fixed price of £55. If multiple backorders exist, a 5 to 7 day auction is held. Payment is only made after a successful catch or winning an auction; no catch means no fee.
The service includes backordering, domain auctions, a search function, and 30-day droplists with statistics. The homepage lists popular auctions, auctions ending soon, and dropping domains with scheduled release times. Users can create an account and sign in to place backorders and participate in auctions.
