Visit The Token Company

The Token Company provides a prompt compression API that sits between an application and an LLM. Its current model generation, bear-2, uses a small ML classifier to score each token in the input and delete only low-signal tokens. Nothing is summarized, paraphrased, or generated, so the text reaching the model remains verbatim and in its original order, just shorter. Typical inputs compress by 10–50%, depending on how dense the input is, and an aggressiveness parameter lets users control how aggressively tokens are removed.

The service is exposed through an API, with Python and TypeScript SDKs that wrap existing OpenAI and Anthropic clients, so compression happens automatically without changing application code. Output is deterministic for a given input and setting, which keeps prompt caches valid. The platform targets long, repetitive inputs such as agent frameworks, RAG pipelines, web research, chat histories, and document analysis. It offers Pro and Enterprise editions, with Enterprise adding on-premise deployment in a customer's VPC or data center, advanced security and compliance options, and personalized compression models. Pricing is usage-based, charged only on the tokens compression removes from the input.
