Snipe-IT is an open source IT asset management system for tracking hardware, licenses, accessories, and consumables. It replaces spreadsheet-based tracking with a web-based application that runs on Linux, Windows, or Mac web servers, supporting asset check-in/check-out, auditing, and full item history.

Features include barcode and QR code support, custom fields, role-based groups with granular permissions, SAML SSO, Active Directory/LDAP and SCIM user sync, a JSON REST API, and native sync adapters for MDM and RMM systems such as Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Google Workspace, and Kandji. It also offers email notifications, Slack/Teams integration, a Jira integration, and native mobile apps. Security features include two-factor authentication, HTTPS-only cookies, and brute-force prevention.
