SES works in the measured depth (MD) domain using 3D vector geometry between the wellbore and beds oriented in true stratigraphic depth, rather than projecting into a 2D vertical section. It supports LWD signal mapping (gamma ray, resistivity, porosity and others), well plan creation, survey calculations, and interpretation guidance while drilling or after drilling.
