Rivet
An open-source AI programming environment using a visual, node-based graph editor
Rivet is an open-source visual programming environment for building AI agents with LLMs. It lets users design, debug, and collaborate on complex prompt graphs in a node-based editor, then run those graphs directly in their own application. The tool addresses the difficulty of building AI agents programmatically by making prompt chains easier to visualize and iterate on.
Rivet provides a visual editor for building complex chains, a remote debugger for observing prompt chain execution in an application in real time, and collaboration through YAML graph files that can be versioned in a team repository and reviewed with standard code review tools. It integrates into Node or TypeScript applications, and includes an example application for experimenting with chat development and debugging.
Rivet is aimed at teams and developers building AI agents and LLM-powered applications. It is open source, with a downloadable desktop application, documentation, and a Getting Started guide. It is available on GitHub, with releases published there, and has a Discord community.
