Reason Machines develops Reason Agent, an AI coding agent designed to handle development tasks. The product follows a design principle of minimal and maximal harnesses: minimal to act quickly, and maximal to draw on frontier models for their strengths. Reason Agent 1.0 runs on DeepSWE.
Reason for Mac is the desktop app, where users hand off a task, continue working, then review and merge the pull request without leaving the app. It is available for download on macOS. The company notes zero data retention and SOC 2.
