Prosoft Engineering, Inc.

Prosoft Engineering offers data recovery and drive utility software designed to help users retrieve lost or deleted files and maintain computer health. The software addresses common problems such as accidental file deletion, hard drive failure, malware, and system slowdowns, providing tools to recover important documents, photos, and videos from internal and external drives, USB flash drives, and SD cards.

The company’s main products are Data Rescue and Drive Genius. Data Rescue recovers lost files and can clone failing hard drives, while Drive Genius includes 18 features for automated monitoring, malware scanning, physical checks, and drive optimization. Both products are available for Mac, with Data Rescue also offered for Windows. Professional editions provide unlimited system activation and drive recovery, and are licensed per technician. The software integrates with internal and external storage devices and supports creating a Recovery Drive for boot-level recovery.

Data Rescue and Drive Genius are aimed at home users, business users, and IT professionals. Data Rescue offers a free demo that scans for lost files, with in-app purchase required for recovery; licenses start at a Standard tier with per-file recovery pricing. Drive Genius is available as a one-time payment or subscription for a single system, with a Professional annual subscription for unlimited systems. Professional editions for both products are offered as annual subscriptions with auto-renewal.
