Poste.io

Self-hosted mail server in one Docker container

Visit Poste.io

Poste.io is a self-hosted email server delivered as a single Docker container, combining SMTP, IMAP, POP3, webmail, spam filtering, antivirus, and web administration in one image. It is intended for running email on your own infrastructure, with mail and configuration stored on a volume you control and the user database kept in a single SQLite file. Installation is handled through a setup wizard after pointing a hostname at the machine and starting the container.

The stack includes Haraka for SMTP, Dovecot for IMAP and POP3, Rspamd for spam detection, ClamAV for antivirus, Roundcube for webmail, NGiNX for the web interface, and Z-Push for ActiveSync. It supports SPF, DKIM, DMARC, SRS, TLS on every protocol, salted SHA512 passwords, redirects and aliases, vacation and autoreply, Sieve filtering, autodiscovery, mailbox quotas, and a REST API. Administration features include domain administrators, DNS domain diagnostics, mail server diagnostics, a DNSBL checker, delivery and user log viewers, a DMARC report viewer, and outbound spam blocking.

Poste.io is offered in three editions: a free edition for personal use, a PRO edition for production, and a PRO+ edition that adds managed deployment and migration. All editions support unlimited domains and mailboxes; the paid editions add delegated administration, diagnostics, log viewers, and email support, while PRO+ also covers account transfer and remote installation, updates, and monitoring.
