Pocket has been shut down and phased out by Mozilla.
Pocket was a read-it-later and content discovery app for saving articles, videos, and links to view on any device. Mozilla has decided to phase out Pocket, including its Web, Android, iOS, and macOS apps and browser extensions, citing changes in how people save and consume content online.
The service combined saved-item storage with curated content recommendations. Its content curation and recommendation capabilities were expanded across multiple countries and languages, and its discovery work informed the curated recommendations shown in Firefox. Related reading tools in Firefox include Tab Groups and enhanced bookmarks, while content recommendations on the Firefox New Tab are produced using machine learning algorithms with human editorial oversight. The pages do not describe plans for Pocket itself beyond its phase-out.
