OpenHands is an open-source platform for building and running AI coding agents. It provides a full development environment with a code editor, terminal, and browser for end-to-end task completion. The platform supports multiple agent backends (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenHands) and models (both closed and open weights), and can run locally, in the cloud, or inside a VPC. It includes automations triggered from GitHub, Slack, Jira, Linear, schedules, and other integrations. The platform offers a web GUI, CLI, and SDK for creating specialized agents and orchestrating complex workflows.
