LOVOT
A companion robot designed to be loved — the world's first family-type robot.
LOVOT is a small companion robot manufactured in Japan, designed to form an emotional bond with people through softness, warmth, and companionship in homes and workplaces. It combines a physical robot unit with a subscription-based software and care service.
The robot features dual OLED eye displays, multiple cameras including a half-spherical camera and depth camera, and sensors for light, temperature, humidity, and obstacle detection. It communicates via Bluetooth, infrared, wireless LAN, and NFC, and runs on a cycle of roughly 30–45 minutes of operation followed by 15–30 minutes of charging. Software updates and backup of the robot's memory and personality are handled through the LOVOT care service.
LOVOT is offered in two models, LOVOT 3.0 and LOVOT 2.0, with optional body colors and multiple payment methods including lump sum or installment plans. Monthly care plans range from a basic tier to a full-coverage tier, covering software use, repair compensation, and periodic maintenance. A perpetual software plan is also available, primarily for business customers.
