Libra Robotics
Autonomous ground-mounted solar installation, day and night.
Libra Robotics builds autonomous ground-mounted solar installation robots that handle PV panel transportation and staging, pick-and-place, and fastening for projects from 1 MW upward. The system covers utility-scale, commercial and industrial, community solar, and agrivoltaic applications, operating day and night.
The Libra-001A robot performs module transportation, pickup, rack-relative alignment, placement, and fastening in a single workflow, with compatible fasteners supporting automated fastening within the installation cycle. It supports panels up to 250 lb (113 kg) and up to 100 × 60 in, with an auxiliary fuel tank providing 40 hours of runtime. The system works across mainstream commercial racking systems, including single-axis tracker configurations, and incorporates end-effectors, perception, fastening tools, mobility, supervision, feedback, and operator safeguards.
Libra Robotics works with EPCs, installation contractors, and racking, tracker, and mounting system manufacturers. The company is based in Silicon Valley and backed by Y Combinator. No pricing or packaging details are stated; demos and pilot opportunities can be arranged directly.
