Lexius is a checkout loss-prevention system for grocery and convenience stores. It uses existing IP cameras to watch the scan window and bagging area, then compares what it sees with the POS transaction log to identify items that crossed the belt without being scanned. The system covers both staffed lanes and self-checkout kiosks, and it works through a passive, read-only tap on the transaction log without writing back to the register.

The platform detects skip scans, sweethearting, banana tricks, bottom-of-basket items, ticket switching, and void abuse. It can pause a lane and prompt the cashier or shopper to scan the missed item, and it saves video clips alongside the transaction record for review. A cashier scorecard ranks missed scans per operator against the store average to support coaching conversations.
