Capture email signups from mobile phones via text messaging
Join By Text is a service that collects email addresses through SMS. People text a custom keyword to a 5-digit number, then reply with their email address; the service can also collect additional details such as names, phone numbers, and zip codes. Replies are synced to supported email marketing platforms or exported as CSV/Excel for manual import. It works with US wireless carriers.
Setup involves choosing a keyword, creating a welcome message, and connecting an email platform. Integrations include Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Constant Contact, AWeber, Keap, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, Emma, ActiveCampaign, Sendlane, and Zapier, with webhook support for other tools. Additional keywords can be added, and the keyword can be used for donations and fundraising.
Plans are Starter, Advanced, and Pro, each with a monthly email-capture limit. Starter and Advanced include a 14-day free trial; Pro does not. Enterprise plans are available for larger needs.
