Instant Eyedropper is a desktop utility for picking colors from the screen. Press a hotkey or click the tray icon to open a magnifier overlay, point at a pixel, and click to copy the color to the clipboard in a chosen format. The project has been in production for 20 years, and the current release (IE-R) is available for Windows (x86_64) and Linux (x86_64) with native Wayland and X11 support.
