Have I Been Pwned is a data breach search and notification service that lets users check whether an email address has appeared in known breaches and receive alerts when new breaches are added. It aggregates breach records, paste records and infostealer log data so individuals and organisations can assess exposure and respond to compromises.
The service offers email search, domain monitoring, breach notifications, Pwned Passwords lookups and an API for programmatic access. K-anonymity search mode allows queries without revealing a full email address. Domains can be managed via the dashboard or added in bulk through the API, with monitoring and alerting for new breaches affecting monitored addresses. Stealer log data is available on Pro plans.
Packaging includes a free tier covering browser email search, notifications, Pwned Passwords and monitoring for domains with up to ten breached addresses. Paid editions are Core, Pro and High RPM, each with tiers scaled by API rate limits (requests per minute), number of monitored domains and domain size. Pro adds k-anonymity search, Pwned Passwords support and customer domain monitoring for MSPs; High RPM targets high-throughput email searching. Billing is monthly or annually, with multi-year discounts on Pro. An Enterprise tier adds white-label deployment, real-time breach callbacks and no API rate limits.
