Gorse is an AI-powered open-source recommender system engine written in Go. It imports items, users and interaction data, then automatically trains models to generate recommendations for each user. It supports multi-source recommendations (latest, user-to-user, item-to-item, collaborative filtering), multimodal content via embeddings, and both classical and LLM-based recommenders. It provides a GUI dashboard for pipeline editing and data management, and exposes RESTful APIs for data CRUD and recommendation requests. It supports multiple databases (Redis, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB) and includes online evaluation of recommendation performance from recent user feedback. The codebase is released under Apache 2 license.
