Folder Marker is a Windows utility that adds a "Mark Folder" item to the folder right-click menu in Windows Explorer, allowing users to change folder icons and colors to label folders by priority, work status, completion level, or content type. It is designed to help distinguish folders visually so users can locate files more quickly and identify important or in-progress folders at a glance.

The tool can change a folder's entire color or shade, apply icons from ICO, ICL, EXE, DLL, CPL, or BMP files, and work with multiple folders at once. It supports 32-bit icons, category submenus, a User Icons tab for custom icons, applying an icon to all subfolders, and making customized folders distributable. Folder Marker Pro can change network folder icons. Additional icon set packs are available for themes such as business, everyday, genealogy, music, numbered, and two-color folders.

Folder Marker is available in Free, Home, and Pro editions, with the Free edition offering basic functions.
