feh is a lightweight, configurable image viewer for command line users that can also be launched from graphical file managers. It handles image viewing and related desktop tasks such as setting X11 backgrounds, including support for rxvt transparency.

feh offers several operation modes: slideshow, thumbnail, list, and multiwindow. It can compile text and thumbnail listings, show loadable and unloadable files, and support filelists. Optional HTTP and FTP access is available through libcurl. Keyboard shortcuts are configurable and usable without a mouse, and custom actions can run shell commands. It is packaged for distributions including Arch Linux, Debian, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and Ubuntu, and can also be built from source. feh is licensed under a variant of the MIT license.
