F4 Industries

The Analysis Platform for Engineering Drawings

Visit F4 Industries

F4 is an on-device analysis platform for engineering drawings that helps teams review GD&T before designs are released. It accepts PDF and STEP files, processes them locally, and combines 2D drawing data with 3D CAD data into a unified part model. The Drawing Validation Engine checks designs against the ASME Y14.5 Standard, identifying common GD&T errors such as incorrect geometric controls, incomplete definitions, erroneous datum reference frames, and missing or incorrect syntax.

Core capabilities include annotation of datums, datum targets, feature control frames, dimensions, thread callouts, and custom flagnotes; datum reference frame and tolerance zone visualization; interface and single-part stack-up analysis accounting for datum shift, bonus tolerances, and MMC/LMC states; and custom design rule checks for DFM and DFI workflows. Exports include redlined drawings, native project files, and AS9102 FAIR inspection reports, with MBD exports in QIF and STEP242 formats listed as coming soon.

F4 is offered in three editions: F4 Review for organizations needing expert drawing reviews, F4 Pro for single users, and F4 Enterprise for teams. The Pro and Enterprise editions include interface stack-ups, with Enterprise adding export-controlled data support, custom onboarding, dedicated technical support and training, and onsite services. Custom rule checks are listed as coming soon for Pro and available in Enterprise.
