Evidence is an open source, code-based business intelligence platform that replaces drag-and-drop BI tools with reports and dashboards authored in SQL and Markdown, then rendered as a website. It is designed to help teams and their AI agents build, automate, and ship analytics together from a version-controlled repository.
The platform includes an analytics agent that answers questions and builds insights using project context, custom skills, and MCP support across Slack, Claude Desktop, and ChatGPT. Reports and dashboards are built with Markdown, SQL, and reusable components, with page-level access control, scheduled emails, PDF and XLSX exports, embedding, white-labeling, and multi-tenancy. Evidence Studio provides a cloud development environment, and the CLI supports local previews and validation. Git integration enables push-to-deploy, instant rollback, branch previews, and continuous integration. Enterprise features include SSO, SCIM, row-level access rules, SIEM audit logging, SOC 2 reporting, and deployment on your own infrastructure.
Evidence Core is open source, and the hosted platform is available in Team and Enterprise editions. Team is priced as a flat monthly rate with unlimited users and projects, while Enterprise is custom-priced and adds embedding, white-labeling, custom AI credits, and bring-your-own-cloud or model API key options. A 30-day trial is available.
