Edpuzzle is a platform for building interactive video lessons and related learning activities, letting teachers embed questions, quizzes, slides, docs and student projects into a single assignable lesson. It addresses the need to check comprehension, track student progress and manage assignments through an LMS, while also supporting content discovery from a library of teacher-created lessons and original material.
Core capabilities include interactive lesson creation across videos, docs, quizzes, slides, projects and screen recordings; instant analytics on student progress; Live Mode for gamified learning; accessibility options such as closed captions, audio playback and answer recording; and multiple attempts. Edpuzzle AI handles autograding of student responses and question generation, alongside learning-gap detection, anti-cheating tools and follow-up activity suggestions. The platform integrates with LMSs, offers YouTube Player for Education with content moderation, and provides an Admin Panel with a centralized school library, verified teacher access via school domain and a Curriculum Specialist role.
Edpuzzle is aimed at individual teachers as well as schools and districts. It is packaged as a free Basic plan with limits on interactive activities and supported assignments, a paid Pro Teacher edition with unlimited creation and a higher assignment allowance, and a custom Pro School edition that adds multi-lingual closed captions, standards-aligned content libraries, admin and security tools, onboarding courses and ongoing support. Plans can be paid monthly or annually, and schools may pay by purchase order.
