Dagster

Dagster is an asset-centric DataOps platform for orchestrating, observing, and activating data across a stack. Rather than tracking only whether a job finished, it models the data assets pipelines produce, attaching lineage, quality signals, and dependency context to each asset so teams can see what broke, why, and what depends on it.

Core capabilities include data-aware orchestration with partitions and incremental runs, an integrated data catalog, built-in data quality checks and freshness monitoring, cost transparency, and branch deployments. Dagster's core framework is open source, while Dagster+ is the managed cloud offering with enterprise features including hybrid deployment, role-based access control, and cost insights. Dagster+ includes a free tier, and a 30-day trial is available. It targets data engineering, analytics, and platform teams, with implementation partners offering consulting and deployment services.
