Conifer
Run AI locally, route the rest
Conifer is a local runtime and gateway that routes each AI query to a model, harness, provider, and cache strategy suited to it, so a named model can be served through a single API key. It works with cloud models, self-hosted models, and local hardware, including any llama-compatible endpoint or its own engine.
The gateway exposes over 200 models from frontier labs and open-weights providers, with the option to bring your own provider keys. Cloud tokens bill at the model's own rate with no added charge, and the runtime, router, and local inference carry no charge. Conifer runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux, and integrates with Claude Desktop, Codex Desktop, VS Code, Cursor, PZed, Terminal, cmux, OpenCode, Pi, and Antigravity. Related products include Stable, which runs any model in any harness in one environment with a per-turn model router; Parallax, which runs parallel code review by three other models on a throwaway copy of the repo and annotates passing pull requests on GitHub, with a free allowance of episodes; Console, an observability tool; and Router, the routing decision leased to harnesses and companies.
