Blue Iris
Video security and webcam software.
Blue Iris is video security and webcam software for Windows that records from up to 128 cameras, including webcams, network IP cameras, analog capture cards, and the PC desktop. It addresses the need to monitor a home, business, vehicles, or valuables, with motion or audio sensing to trigger recording or continuous and periodic recording. It captures JPEG snapshots or movies in MP4, AVI, advanced DVR, or Windows Media formats, and can overlay date/time and other information.
Features include action sets for alerts and conditions, remote viewing of live and recorded video, PTZ and IR control, listen and talk, and a built-in web server (UI3) for access from any web-enabled device with user authentication and permission-based viewing. Alerts can be sent via loudspeaker, email, instant message, voice phone call, or external program/script. Version 6 includes built-in AI services, with CodeProject AI and Blue Onyx listed as external AI server options, and it can run as a Windows service.
Blue Iris is packaged as a full license supporting up to 128 cameras and an LE license for one camera, with a free 15-day evaluation available. Basic maintenance is included for one year with the initial license, with Basic, Priority, and Commercial maintenance plans offered; the commercial license permits commercial use.
