AmpShell
A DOSBox front-end for Windows that lets you run DOS games with a double click.
AmpShell is a DOSBox front-end for Windows, written in C#, that lets users launch DOS games with a double click instead of entering DOS commands. It is distributed as a zipped executable and requires the .NET Framework 4; it has been tested on Windows XP through Windows 10.
The application includes AutoConfig, which locates the DOSBox executable and default configuration file when needed. Games can be organized into categories with five view modes, and each game entry can store an icon, setup executable, custom DOSBox configuration file, CD image or folder mounted as D:, and additional DOSBox commands. Preferences cover the DOSBox binary, default configuration and language files, folder defaults, category ordering, icon size, and interface options. Portable Mode allows the application and games to run from a shared directory, with a Portable Pack available.
AmpShell is intended for Windows users who want a graphical launcher for DOSBox games. It is released under the GNU GPLv3 license.
